Annoying App Behavior! Please Fix!

I am using Google Play Music on my iPhone 4s. It runs iOS 8.4.1, so I meet the app requirements.

One constant and annoying bug is when I lock the phone while music is playing. I can press play, then press the lock button to put the phone to sleep, and all of a sudden, the music STOPS PLAYING. And when I go to press play on the lock screen, NOTHING HAPPENS. This happens almost every single time I want to listen to music and its infuriating how I have to wait for some time before the app starts playing music again while the phone is locked.

Im calling this a bug because its easily reproducible and annoys the hell out of me, so please, someone look into this. I dont want to keep asking.
