Youre letting me Down/ STILL NOT FIXED

I am a big fan of google. I use almost all the apps google has available for iPhone in place of apples apps. But to be honest Im really starting to hate Play Music. This is the only music subscription I have and I used to take great pride in using it but, for a long time now, there have been some issues that make listening to my favourite songs a real hassle.
1) there is an issue with playback. If Im listening to music from a playlist and I pause a song, when I press play it wont play. This forces me to either skip the song and go back (which will allow it to play again) or I have to unlock my phone, open the app and press play and pause several timds before it actually starts to play again.
2) Whenever I skip a song, the next song doesnt play. I wouldnt say that this is a streaming issue because this happens to playlists I have downloaded to my phone and/or while I am on WiFi. In the instance in which my phone is not on my person (ex. I am listening to music from a Bluetooth speaker or wireless headphones while working out) this forces me to keep skipping until another song plays.

I love Google and it makes me sad to have one my most used apps fail me like this. Please fix it soon.

STILL NOT FIXED
When I saw the update, I was excited. I had the expectations that everything that I rightly complained about would be fixed bit it wasnt. Albeit the playback issues are somewhat resolved, the issues with skipping songs and not having the next song there are still ever present.
