Boring UI, and very buggy
I’ll admit I don’t have much experience with Apple Music, Google Play Music’s main competitor in my opinion, but I’m currently subscribed to 3 other major streaming services. Google Play All Access is my least favorite to use. It remains my main service still since it has the largest library of the ones I use, and is the most functional, and I’ll never get rid of YouTube Red, but Google could learn a thing or two from Amazon Music Unlimited. First and foremost, Play Music needs to make sure their app works with the latest and greatest. Currently this app has major bugs on iOS 11 on iPhone 8/8Plus. I like that it has auto playlists, and that you can download them for offline listening. Some of the bugs I’m referring to above are that the app randomly stops playing even though it shows it’s not paused, the song will freeze, and you have to pause and play it to get it to continue playing. The settings resets itself randomly for things like stream and download quality. When skipping to the next song in the middle of a song, it will start playing the new song from the same time stamp as the song previously skipped. All of these things happen frequently, making them non ignorable. Until they are fixed I will keep my rating at a 1 star and do not recommend the service for music streaming. If it is not fixed with an update soon, I will probably have to look at canceling service and just giving up YouTube Red, which is sad because I’m subscribed to the family plan and all of my family members use the service through my account.
