Music often stops when I open the UI

I already use Apple Music, SoundCloud Go and YouTube Music. Figured Id try this after I saw I could upload music that iTunes was crapping out on. Its better at figuring out what I like than YT Music but when I bring the app up out of background the music often just stops. Hitting pause then play gets it going.

Curious what happens now that the YT Music and Play Music product teams have been combined.
