Issues cutting out and freezing

Every time I use the app (which is daily) it cuts out while playing in my car. My phone is connected to the USB cord (The cord is in great condition) so its not a connection issue. It cuts out any time I use it, actually. Plus, the app freezes after Ive opened it. Tap on Artists, tap on artist to listen to, nothing happens. Completely close out the app and try again. Ive tried three consecutive times and it does not respond. A lot of times it also doesnt respond when I touch play to start the music.
