Google Play Music App Reviews

GPM has some great features. The Good: The algorithms they use to suggest music are awesome. The radio stations are always on point. The library is large and on par with the rest of the major services. The ability to add your own music is nice even if its not perfect. The Bad: This is probably the glitchiest music app out there. For a company like Google, thats unacceptable. Adding music often creates duplicates or splits up your albums, album covers dont load, music stops randomly. This app has been out long enough now that these types of things shouldnt still be happening. The UI is also unimpressive. The circles for artists are hideous and navigating through only whats in your own library is a pain as its mixed in with whats available in the store. I can deal with the occasional issue but it seems Google has no real interest in improving this app. If thats the case I have no interest in continuing to support it with my money.

Songs take a bit to load even on fast wifi. 5 stars for improvement? Speed and bugs are just about it:)

This is a very good app, and it has potential to be even better. However, a podcasts section would be much helpful. Also, having song lyrics be very good.

Oh wow. I just spent 2 hours creating a playlist and now the app says I do not have any playlists.

I really have nothing but great things to say about this app. They offer the best variety of music around. I got even my husband in on it. Its simply outstanding. Thank you!

Cancelled Spotify for this app. So yeah. That.

No EQ on iPhone app. Not the best sound. Not reliable too.

This app deserves 0 stars. Every single commercial breaks the streaming and I need to close app and reopen to continue. Why is this so poorly implemented, Google?

I love the selections ... however this app glitches WAY TOO MUCH. Get your act together Google ... this is ridiculous. It pisses me off That Im having issues constantly when Im paying for it.

This is a great app. I like that it remembers what Ive searched for in the past, because sometimes I forget what I liked and this app makes it easier to find.

When Im playing music itll just skip to the next one and sometimes even start like a minute in, Its only been an issue with this update recently

Wow, compared to Spotify and Apple Music, this app is hard to use. And not very fun! Clicking an artists list of albums often produces a jumble of albums and random tracks. Sometimes when Im using this app and trying to think of something to listen to, it feels like staring into the void.

A lot of missing features, seems half completed product

The output on the high quality setting is simply unparalleled by Apple music. Only apple music has a better library, but the ability to upload your entire library to google as an included feature along with YouTube red for unlimited customers makes for not only one of the most compelling options out there, but it also makes integration with iOS an absolute must! This version is simply not ready for primetime. Full of bugs... Delayed awaiting of tracks, multiple hangups when shifting through several tracks, just poorly responsive. Does not feel as light on iOS as it does on android, and that will sadly hamper its potential.

Amazing music app , for the future updates there should be a way to integrate family members playlists into yours if you want !

You can listen songs for free and download without going on a website

Id love to see an option to play directly to Sonos system from inside the app. Their handling of your service is damaging the Google Play experience.
