This app is amazing I love having free music on the go and doesn’t take a lot of battery and internet I recommend this if you like music and you have a personal hotspot or something but this is a really good app keep up the good work

App keeps crashing. Uninstalled and reinstalled still not working. And can this issue with the songs list skipping be fixed as well ?

Well Im really trying to love this service but the app is so laggy. Spotify is so much smoother but Google Play doesnt restrict some tracks like Spotify does for some reason. Please the interface should have a dark theme, must be my love for Spotify. Ugh, Google fix your app!

Set up is extra lengthy for uploading music from your library

It plays lots of songs if you like to sing or listen to music this is the app and pandora

I really enjoy this app and how much music is on here. My only issue is that it’s super glitchy. I’m not able to exit the app with a song playing or turning the screen off without the song freezing momentarily. The app also crashes occasionally.

Come on guys ! Just because I’m an iOS user doesn’t mean that I don’t deserve the same respect as an Android user. We both pay for the service! I reviewed the app when the icon changed to the hideous orange one and still my review fell on deaf ears. 1) LANDSCAPE SUPPORT just like Google maps can do. It can’t be difficult. For me, it’s a safety issue. I use it in the car and switch apps (double click and tap-while my eyes are still on the road)from Maps to Google Music while in landscape mode to see the song name or change it. It’s difficult to read sideways and not safe to pick up the phone while driving and in some states, ILLEGAL! Fix it Google! 2) I WANT TO EDIT MY PLAYLISTS ON THE PHONE AND HAVE THEM ACTUALLY EDIT ON THE F***ING PHONE. I don’t even own a computer anymore but I’m thinking seriously about giving Apple my money because I’m tired of paying Google every month to be abused.

The good: - Fantastic music collection. - Great YouTube integration - Superb Radio songs. Picks the perfect song everytime! The Bad: - UI makes it hard to discover new songs. - Competing YouTube Music from Google app will confuse consumers. - Audible music pause everytime you pick the phone. The Ugly: - Poor app quality-control: Frequent song crashes mar the experience. - More QA problems: iPhone X app loses the “<-“ button on the top left of the app every so often (because it’s scrolled past the top the screen).

I am using this instead of Spotify only because it is included with YouTube Red. The service/app are worse that Spotify in every conceivable way. You can’t even scroll smoothly. Somehow Google brought Android stuttery scrolling to iOS here. And why can’t I have my artists in a simple list? I don’t want massive circular pictures of every artist so scrolling and stuttering are even worse. Using this App is like being in a musical desert after Spotify. Part of me hopes they stop including this with YouTube Red so I can cancel both and get Spotify again. Apple Music made a complete mess of my personal collection, so I’ll never use that again. Amazon music’s app is even worse than this believe it or not.

I want this to work, but I’m about to give up. I would like to be able to manually resequence playlists on the fly like Apple Music. There is no equalizer. You can’t download a single song, you must download the whole Album or Playlist, but not a whole Artist. I can’t cast to Roku. Finally, this borders on nonfunctional at times as playback randomly stops trying to bring up the next song. I just repeatedly hit the “Try Again” button. Google, try again.

The app is nice, but I judge majority of my music streamers by the player! The player is what you see 95% of the time and here it seems very outdated unlike all the others, in my opinion Deezer and Spotify have amazing players but Deezer is the overall winner because of the lyrics option while Spotify is a close second, Apple Music is third but also lacks the whole player vibe!

The app plays music without issues. Album artwork is cropped and zoomed in the most irritating way, however.

What gives? I used to be able to play the music just fine when navigating away from the app, but now even if I just lock my phone, it doesnt play.

Whenever I download an album it will download the clean and the explicit album in the same place. So that means when I listen to an album I have to listen to each version of the song, and theres no way that I can see to separate them. Highly annoying!!

This app does have its downsides with the main being it’s not Apple Music. Sometimes my phone will randomly stop playing my music in google play and try to switch me to listening in Apple Music. The other thing is that there is no WatchOS app, so I can’t play my playlists or anything else from my watch.

My playlist keep losing songs and it’s time wasting having to try and put them back each day, what am I paying money for if I can’t listen to the songs I want to listen to. Please fix this, at this point it’s just getting irritating.

I have no idea how Google Play works under the hood but sometimes downloaded tracks skip. They skip! There’s no physical media and no connection yet it acts like it’s buffering. What are you doing Google?! You are tanking your own music service. Seriously considering Spotify if this goes on....

I have over 7,000 songs in my Google library, most bought and some uploaded. Its ridiculous how terrible the app is, even on an Android. I switched to an iPhone X recently hoping my experience my be better with the Apple ecosystem regarding Googles apps due to Apples positive reputation for stability and smoothness across most apps and its actually worse. A lot worse. I can not play most of my songs, even when using a strong WiFi connection, songs will show that they are playing even though there is no audible sound at full volume, album covers dont show, tons of bugs and crashing, and I literally cannot download any of my music to my device for offline playback. For a company like Google, which was once known for their reliability, practicality, and refreshingly user-friendly UI, its super disappointing. Its as if this app has been completely neglected if not forgotten altogether. Ive invested thousands of my hard earned money for a near unusable app. Until this gets fixed Im done with this. 10000000/10 dont recommend. ?
