“Bug fixes” HA. Good one

So many bugs on IOS it might as well be an infestation

every time i switch between apps the music stops. i’m on an iphone.

No problems for me

I use Google Music on a 5th gen iPod Touch as well as my Samsung Galaxy S6 with data and/or wifi and its always worked for me, Ive never had a problem with Google Music. Now that Im a mom, I use Google Music for my baby daughter whether we are in the backyard or in a crazy Walmart during Christmas rush, its pretty great and also great if you like to be introduced to all sorts of new artists solely based on channels or stations playing genres versus airtime-type "popular" music, but it has that, too!

Id call it abandonware...

Because its almost never updated, and even when it was semi-regularly maintained it was still insanely buggy and the same bugs persisted forever. But they just updated it -- and somehow, the skipping audio (even on downloaded music) and hard stop of playback is 10x worse than it was before. Great service, but this app is hot garbage.

Great job Google

There is so much I love about this app, but I do feel that some elements of the UI are getting outdated, and shoulidbe updated more in line with what the online version offers. Another great feature to add is lyrics available for each song as youre listening to it just like Apple Music has.

glitches

i love this app so much!! i use it everyday for at least 6 hours a day. the only problem is with the new update the app has been glitching so much! some weird lines come up when i delete a song or move a song in my queue and i can’t hit the back button in a playlist if i scroll all the way to the top. if i hadn’t got this update it would totally be 5 stars! hope you can fix this soon; it’s so annoying?

I love this app but...

I love the unlimited music part but the app has been crashing whenever I open an app the music stops and if I get a notification and my fingers off it will stop also. It’s also been stopping music randomly and I have to hit play again this has been happing in the past month please fix:(

Great ?

I don’t know what with all the bad reviews. I been using google music For a little over a year now. Have had no crashes not buggy at all for me. Maybe people are just too bitchy for an app that’s free ?

On an iPad Air 2, scrolling is a nightmare. Navigating in general is frustratingly slow. Optimize the experience and this is a 3-4 star app.

Still very buggy

Im glad they added iPhone X sorry, but swiping down on the now playing bar causes a bunch of graphical errors. They also still havent fixed the hidden status bar issue: when scrolling through your music selection the app will go fullscreen for some reason. Going to now playing from there doesnt bring the status bar back.

Lame

How come a company that can build a quantum computer can’t figure out how to stream an mp3? They love to update their GUI once a month, changing squares to circles and blues to oranges, but never address the fact that playback is constantly freezing and basic setting changes like switching between on/offline music cause it to go completely haywire. And they think the smart thing to do is to split their resources and launch a redundant service on YouTube?? As soon as I find an easy way to transfer my library I’ll be off to Spotify

Never seen such a sh!tiest app

Stops streaming for no reason, ads after the first track and worst of all, duplicates everywhere in your library. The more you use it, the more duplicates. This problem is reported all over the Internet for years. No one cares at Google.

Too many bugs

The app is very frustrating to use. When you open the app while a song is playing, the song will stop. If you scroll through a playlist, the song will stop. Randomly when I unlock my phone, the song will stop but then start again after I open up a snapchat video. Occasionally i will pause a song, but after watching a video the song will just restart on its own. It’s not worth it sometimes, because unless you just select a playlist then not use your phone whatsoever, the songs start and stop and skip and randomly delete from the playlist and this is an issue that has been going on for so long and hasn’t been able to be fixed with the updates. There are much better apps that do not have these types of problems.

Bugs are finally gone for once!!

The bugs are all gone, and now its working flawlessly, just like on my old Android device. And they finally supported the screen ratio for the iPhone X!! ?

Buggy AF

Unlike apps like Apple Music and Spotify, my music listening has always been interrupted constantly. Whenever I reopen the app while listening to a song, the app stops playing. Not a smooth experience at all.

Cancelling Serv - New UI Stinks

12/16/17 update. Still cant swipe on album art to go to the next song; music stops; until this is all fixed Spotify will continue getting my $$$$. Sorry Google, get new designers ASAP before it is too late. 3/4/17 update. Nice Nav bar, BUT you removed ability to fast forward and rewind on a song AND we can no longer swipe the album art to skip forward or backwards on a song. I guess the UI management team is still in tact. Too bad. FIRE THEM ALL!! Cant wait for Pandora Premium service later this month. 2/6/17 update. Still no UI fix. Cancelling subscription today. Hope everyone else does the same. Bye. 12/6/16 Update-Still no design fix, 3 days until my subscription gets cancelled. Prior this update, app was really nice and intuitive, GOOD LUCK finding what you want in the new app. Horrific, the design team mgmt should be fired asap! Cant believe they are getting paid to "create" this design, seriously? Its a joke.

Okay at best, mediocre at worst

Google Play Music has a great selection of tracks and radios stations to choose from, and should have more than enough to suit anyone’s musical tastes. Additionally, audio quality is not a problem, each song sounds crystal clear, despite being a given more often than not for music streaming services. However, there are many little nuances in the UI that bogs down the whole experience. Searching through menus feels choppy, and even delayed at times, as if the app as a whole is unoptimized for iOS. Even worse, is how power-hungry it is. Every time I open the app to switch to another album, or playlist, I find my phone lose several percent within minutes of just using it. However this power consumption issue does not occur during background use, thankfully. Overall, this app feels clunky, and no amount of UI changes, or additions will change that until Google fixes the optimization issues within the app. At best, the app works like any music-streaming service. At worst, it is a choppy, power-hungry mess that’s sure to frustrate any user.

Please fix this app

This app worked great for years prior, but for some reason the last few months it will stop playing the music for no reason, or when I go to another app, or the app will just crash completely. None of my other apps (on an iPad mini 2) are doing this and it doesnt do it on my android phone. Im seriously considering switching to Apple Music if this doesnt get fixed soon, as theres no point in paying for the service if it doesnt even work on the device I mostly use it on.....and also Apple is constantly tempting me with a few months free, so get it together with this app please or you guys will lose customers that use apple devices as well.
