I post reviews periodically with reports of bugs and Google consistently fixes them. Its great to have a well-maintained app, even if it catches bugs sometimes. One current bug: while listening on Bluetooth headphones, every time I open the app it pauses the music. Thanks!

Edit few versions later: And this app is still being stupid, like nothing seems to be going right still no album work, it’s mind blowing that there is no album work even offline. This app used to be great, can’t lie I’m thinking of making the switch to Apple Music,I wonder if there app will be better than googles Old review- Still no fix, even updated the iOS 11, Well the app seems to no longer work properly, I can deal with most bugs but this one bothers me like no other. So when playing songs offline there seems to be a issue with viewing the album art while offline, it shows up just with a gray background but when I kick on the wifi the art comes back, even tried restoring my iPod and bam its the same issues all over again. Must be the app, also the files are playing are all offline. Google get to together.

For over a month now, this app has been broken to the point of being unusable. Audio stops midway through a song but the song keeps playing. Its triggered by having the screen locked or using another app while the music is playing, or by adding a song to library/playlist/thumbs up. Right now this freezing is happening on just about every song! The app also freezes and locks up very often.

I understand google is the creator of android and that’s where their focus is. But if they’re actually trying to be competitive we need apps on these platforms. I’m actually considering canceling my all access subscription and switch to Apple Music simply because I can’t access my music through my Watch or Car Play. I adore this app, and all access. Having all the music I want and also having YouTube Red is fantastic. But not being able to use it on all of my devices is very aggravating. Also the fact that my music keeps pausing once I leave the app, I have constant “connection issues” and “Playback Errors” even though I have either full service or good WiFi is not acceptable. Honestly the only 2 reasons I’m not switching is simply because of YouTube Red. And the thought of rebuilding a library is horrifying. I don’t want to have to pay for Apple Music and YouTube Red.

Why Why! Apple Music is so much better than this! Why would google even try to compete with Apple? It’s just stupid! It’s obvious that they cannot beat Apple! They should just give up and move on!

This app used to work so well for me but recently it’s been very buggy and slow and I can’t enjoy it anymore. Please fix it, I’m going mad

On the iPhone X is horrible

Im rather new to google music but I know a poorly constructed app when I see it. App is very buggy it crashes when I do multiple skips and is just horrible with being used in the background. Not to mention random crashes every now and then. Considering leaving altogether and reunite with Spotify lol

Fix this it’s SUPER BUGGY like every song I play keeps stopping even my downloaded songs do that please fix

Since the last update or two, if I exit to another app it’s fine but when I return to the GP app it pauses the music. I believe this happens on the iPhone as well as iPad.

Add a community system for play music, this will make it so much better.

Used Google Play since the beginning, the play back issue is also on Android. Its terrible that this is forcing me off this app.

Crashes during background play now. Try fixing base functionality before pushing more garbage features out. Who am I kidding, Google cant do anything but search well.

Stops streaming for no reason, ads after the first track and worst of all, duplicates everywhere in your library. The more you use it, the more duplicates. This problem is reported all over the Internet for years. No one cares at Google.

Now it’s not even playing consistently when open — and as has been true for some time, the instant you open anything else, sound stops. It’s almost useless.

With the cellular version of Apple Watch, please make a version for Apple Watch series 3 so I don’t have to carry my phone to listen to google play music.

App is amazing when it works which is pretty much all the time except for when bringing he phone outta lock while playin music seems to be pretty rough transition. Music will abruptly stop and have to manually restart it. This happens either while just using the device for music playback on the device or through a 3.5mm line in for the car. iPhone 6 Plus iOS version: 11.0.3

As of the current build, I cannot integrate the player with the built in controls on my iPhone. When I swipe up to control playback, my player is not available. Music will be playing, but I can not pause or skip. The same can be said for controlling playback on my headphones. This was not a problem with the previous build(s) I had installed. Dev Request: create a better way to report issues with the catalog. I had an instance where the names of the songs were correct, but the actual track played was incorrect. Feature request: create a way to do favorite album lists instead of having to add whole albums. Not sure how to articulate this, but it’d be nice to have a top 10 albums list to share.
