Increasingly buggy

The playback issue people are describing is real and continues to get worse. Music just randomly stops playing or doesnt start - even when downloaded. Sometimes it will stop if your iPhone tries to auto connect to wifi that is weak, so that may not be entirely Googles fault. but now, after the latest update - I cant even add songs to my library. Doesnt matter whether on 4g or wifi or anything. Tried refreshing the app and other recommendations short of uninstalling it. Have to go to desktop to add music now. Its like the app is still in beta mode.

kinda meh

good audio, but no equalizer? missing a basic function present in many music apps? idk if it was deleted but I no longer see an equalizer for this app, which is really disappointing.

Too buggy right now

I’ve subscribed to google play music for years and years and it pains to say I couldn’t recommend the app in its current state to anyone. I have left feedback but haven’t seen an improvement for months. The app pauses music frequently, and will work again when I toggle play/pause. This is not catastrophic but is annoying. It seems to happen when change states (on or off WiFi, entering or exiting the app) and happens when using downloaded music. I believe that this app has the best catalog and best UI of any streaming service but the app is verging on unusable at the moment. I deeply hope an update will fix this issue soon.

I’m having a really difficult time

Watching between apps causes music to pause. Offline listening skips and pauses. UI needs to be revamped. Please fix. Thank you.

First, add ability to comment on a song. Every time the song plays the comment pops up. Second, add the ability to see all of your thumbs down songs. Third, add thumbs up and down bottoms to lock screen preview. Thanks!!

Keeps getting worse.

I used to be able to ignore problems like the app not finding my uploaded content with proper search terms. Yes, Google should probably rule when it comes to searching. But whatever. Now the app stalls during playback, randomly crashes, and only shows some songs from complete albums. Maybe I deserve this for having an Apple device?

I love it!!

I used to use Apple Music but after finding this Im google music all the way!!! THANK YOU GOOGLE!! UPDATE!! WHY ARE ALL MY PLAYLISTS EMPTY?!?! ???

Love the service, but the app is so buggy lately

For about the last month, even downloaded music is constantly interrupted. Probably every ten minutes or so. Incredibly frustrating.

Crashes all the time on an iPhone 7 and you delete songs and they reappear all the time

I knew google would ruin the app with too many ads. :( Bring back Songza!!!

Playback issues with latest update!

I want to give this app 5 stars and certainly will once Google fixes playback issues. On iOS 11, playback sometimes stops abruptly without cause — even with downloaded music. This happens without the play/pause interface changing to indicate the song is stopped. It’s so very frustrating! To get around the issue, I have to pause playback and then press play again. Other than this issue, which is the main reason for 1 star, there’s stutters and flickers in the interface when opening from the unlock screen or generally opening the app while playback is occurring. This app has been more reliable in past versions. Please fix!!!!

New update

This new update, has to be the worst that apple has provided. If I leave the app, and go back, the music will stop. Its annoying.... Also, how tf did you know I was gonna say that?! I’m scared af... dude seriously. You guys should not be into peoples lives like that, nor should you be listening to us. Idc, how much you say “this is provided through extensive surveys” or “a social experiment” I just hope you fix the problem....

Buggy ios app

I thought it was great until it started acting buggy. Even when listen to downloaded music, app freezes and force closes! Please fix.

Fix it!

Keeps playing the music but no sound and then shuts down. Going to switch to another app if this doesn’t get fixed.

Pretty Good

Since the last update I can’t clear out the recently played list, the albums just pop right back up again. Hope this is resolved soon.

Unusable on iPad Mini

The app has become essentially unusable on an iPad Mini 2, massive performance issues. I know this hardware isn’t the newest, but no other app I use chugs so bad that even audio can’t play reliably.

Songs stop playing multiple times.

Im about to give up my subscription because this app is so bad. It constantly crashes and songs dont play all the way through. Cmon Google... Im a paying customer and this shouldnt be such a crap app.

Terrible and better alternatives out there

Google music pales in comparison to Spotify and even Apple Music. The interface is clunky, which is fine because that’s a matter of taste. What’s a major issue is that the app constantly freezes and fails to load properly. There are also other issues like music stopping when the app is reopened while music is in play mode. There are various glitches that really kill this app. I prefer using Google serviced over Apple or Spotify, but this app is making me reconsider my streaming services. Once I’m done with my month, I’m likely switching to Spotify. I’ve never dealt with any of the issues that I’ve had with Google Music with the Spotify app. It seems like this app has progressively gotten worse over the years.

Keeps getting worse!

I had a complaint about the app crashing a lot and it still does that after the update. Now a new problem has come. Whenever I unlock my phone, or open the app while music is playing the music stops. It doesn’t pause it just stops. This is incredibly frustrating. Please fix.
