Google Play Music App Reviews

I religiously use google for any service I need and that they offer. This includes YT Red, Play musics, and others. The applications for Play music and YT Red are horrible on iOS. It constantly freezes and the UI seems half baked. Fix it Google because it’s making me consider Spotify.

I like this app a lot but the recent updates haven’t helped that much. When I try to use chrome cast or connect to Bluetooth it freezes a lot. Music and radios stations are good but it’s getting heavy and freezing a lot. Fix it ASAP!

This app worked well until i logged into the desktop version of it. The music I added to my library/liked there wouldn’t transfer to my app and vice versa. I’ve lost about 100 songs because of this. Please make the app better.

Update your app and show us that you still care about your product. Same buggy interface with no innovation is showing and it would be nice if you support apple’s newest product, the iPhone X. Edit: Changed 1 star to 3. Thanks for updating the app to utilize the iPhone X’s resolution, but the interface is still in need a major overhaul.

Updated 12/15/17 - update is better, but it still skips a beat when closing/opening/going through different parts of the app.. but it’s better than outright stopping the music!! Original about a month prior: App crashes and is so glitchy.. just because it’s iOS? Cmon man

Bug scrolling on iPhone 6s!! Bug with not playing track in cache ;( Upd. 15.12.17: it’s a piece of ?, really!!! Now I’m thinking about Apple Music or Spotify! So buggy!!! Terrible!!!

Needs a dark theme and organize the music , it feels too messy !

Its crazy how buggy this app is along with no Apple watch support and still not updated for iPhone X. Update: The app now supports iPhone X but I still would really like to see an apple watch app

I really want to love this app, the problem is that it’s always crashing, freezing, stopping for no reason at all. Please fix this app.

So many bugs on IOS it might as well be an infestation

How does a company with so much smarts get this soooo wrong!! I dont want to listen to someone elses playlist or mix! The internet allows me to ditch radio--why else would I invest the time uploading the music I bought?? I suppose pushing new music to me is the deal you had to make with the record industry robber-barons. Ok, Ill cut you slack there. But I cant forgive this abysmal iPhone user interface. To be forced to scroll through those useless bubble images to find an artist is downright user-antagonistic! When I am looking at My Library, I can see a grand total of 4 artists or albums per screen. When I click an artist, I can only see the first two (2) of their albums because the top half of the screen is showing me a picture of the band it pulled from somewhere. I dont need pictures! Album covers are awesome when they are a foot square and made of real cardboard. They are decidedly not awesome when reduced to a postage stamp to fit on a 2" x 4" display. A simple text listing is all that is needed (think original iPod). Its faster and more elegant. Really hope someone is listening.

I got fed up with Apple Music and Spotify’s impossible to destroy gigantic cache. Play Music is by far my favorite out of the bunch. Just really really waiting patiently for iPhone X support.

I find all the iOS apps from Google to be slow, buggy resource hogs, but this is the worst. Other reviewers have described it to a tee. It stops playing, it crashes, its slow, etc. And yet, I like the service. Indeed, Im invested in Google Play Music, which makes this app all the more frustrating to use. I dont fiddled with all the settings, including the one that allows it to fill up all the space, requiring me to uninstall to get the space back. Nothing helps. It defeats the purpose of the service, for if I try to explore music, look for anything new, the more I use this app the slower it gets, until it finally crashes. Seems stupid.

Absolute junk. Crashes all the time. Good bye google music. No time for crappy made apps.

Music selection is great for what I’m interested in (a lot of jazz) and even has a lot of albums Spotify doesn’t. App often stops playing music whenever you go back to the home screen or switch between apps. Also the download speed is horribly slow compared to Spotify for some reason.

I’ve read the reviews on this app, and was very confused. I haven’t had a single problem that any of these people are talking about so far, and I’ve been using the app for a long time now. Think you people need to get some new phones. L.
