If the app is so buggy, why isnt it being fixed?

Music selection is great, and good value for the cost, however, Google does not make a dedicated effort to remove bugs and issues. Explicit language filtering barely works. Also, if you need to reset app, there is no easy way to redownload your previously downloaded songs. You have to redownload them all manually if you want them to be available offline.

I dont mind the ads but when an ad comes up everything stops. No music playing and no ad playing. I have to open the app just to press play every time an ad comes up and ends. When I work out it really is annoying.

I love google music! Had it for two years while I was with Samsung. But Ive noticed I cant edit my queue. Now I have to open my phone up every time theres a couple songs I want to skip in my playlist. Needs to be fix. Then Ill change my rating to five star.

Am paying for the app and every time i pick a new song it take for ever to play it i have to keep selecting the song for it to start playing please fix this

I used and loved Songza before Google bought it. The iOS app is very buggy and I see from other comments it isnt just me. The app stalls frequently after an ad, and when playback does finally resume, another ad is playing over the music. Most of the time I have to close out and restart the app. It totally takes me out of what Im working on and is really annoying. Once in a while would be one thing but it happens multiple times in the same hour. I dont have these problems when I stream on my laptop. I do love the playlist variety and the browsing options of genre, mood, activity, etc. Some playlists could have more songs and if I ? a song on one playlist, I want it to go away altogether (though this is a Pandora issue also) not have the same terrible song pop up somewhere else. Please fix, Google. I know you can do better than this!

App was working fine (not great had minor bugs) but now my songs wont play at all. When I select a song it just skips to the next one and so on until it goes through the whole album and then just quits. This doesnt matter whether I have downloaded the album or streaming. Google I am a big fan please bring back my music!

I loved this music app! However now theres a bug where if I pause the music outside of the app I cant resume unless I go back into the app

Google play is the best overall option!

Easy to navigate and huge selection for music and movies. I only gave it 4 start cause there is always room for improvements. Lol. Enjoy

The music and playing is great as a subscribed member, but the interface is god awful looking. The scaling of albums to fit the whole screen is terrible looking, and disrespects many album arts.

Since the latest update, ads come up every 10 minutes & force you to interact with the app that has been hidden in your pocket. The ad never plays. Just introduces radio silence until you unpause the app, which sometimes needs to be restarted completely. Ads every 10 min is fine. Just make sure they work. No one is winning when the ad doesnt play right.

When I am listening to music, more often than not google play music will more or less freeze and not play the track. I have to quickly skip forward a track then skip back immediately to the track it froze on. Its really annoying and it also does this on downloaded music. Ive already deleted the app and restarted the phone, reinstalled the app, re download music and it still has this problem. Huge annoying flaw that ruins the experience

I get a "cant play song because device storage is full" every other time I launch the app, even if I havent downloaded anything or taken pictures. Also, sometimes the song wont start playing until about 20 seconds in, which in turn cuts out the last 20 seconds of the song, which gets annoying. These 2 things happen often enough and are such a hassle that Im starting to think about moving away

Its a shame that I have to rate this app so low. Ive tried all three of the big music streaming services, and Google has many artists that are hard to find on the others as well as a fantastic radio. Unfortunately, the app is such a horribly broken and glitchy messy that I cant recommend it to my friends. If it doesnt outright crash, it will skip songs and refuse to start playing until you force quit the app anyways. I like to listen to music while Im driving, but I cant because of how much this terribly designed app makes me have to look at my phone to keep it playing. I will not be renewing my Google Music subscription until these issues are fixed.

The app is good for finding new music and the music sounds good. However, when using it on my Ipod Touch, the app crashes about every 3 minutes. I then have to unlock my iPod, restart the app, and press play again. Sometimes, the sound stops, but the timer and play/pause icon indicates its playing. Frustrating and Im a subscriber.

Im a member, 1+ Years. Worked great. Now as of 60 days it REQUIRES a wifi connection to work. WILL NOT WORK UNLESS ON WIFI TOTAL BS However, it should work because I can stream YouTube, Pandora, youtube Red, and even watch Netflix ZERO ISSUES on cell use only as Im on a fast unlimited plan Fix your Nonsense As the test control I tested on Cell towers in the same location off wifi 1) pandora worked fine 2) Netflix worked fine streaming movies 100% fine 3) YouTube movies and YouTube music worked fine - YouTube red fine 4) streaming movies from Vimeo Fine All fine 100% of the time, Yet YOUR App 100% of the time in the Exact same location as tests above says requires WIFI!!! I dont pay $10 a month for this new issue I expect 60 days refund to continue and fix your app this is nonsense

This app is an embarrassment to Google. Slow, buggy and annoying. The UI is especially laggy. Please fix this app or kill it.

This app just does not like to play music. Playback will crap out of you do any of the following: Skip a song, Pause a song, Have the nerve to leave the app running in the background. I cant tell you how many times a song just sits there stuck at 0:00 seconds. Other times the counter will move without anything actually playing. These issues persist even if you have the songs saved to an offline playlist This is singlehandedly the most broken app Ive used since the latest updates. This app also holds the record for being restarted the most amount of times out of any other. These issues have been going on for months, MONTHS, without any word on a fix. If the app wasnt a perk of my YouTube red subscription Id have dropped it long ago.
