Google Play Music App Reviews

Google Play is great with the features of the music which consist of genres, activities and radio stations. However their "shuffle" for playlist is poor and whenever I delete a duplicate song from my playlist, it deletes the song prior to the duplication. The playlist feature is rather disappointing.

Ads randomly play during songs and afterward there is an ad break without sound and app says it will resume playing shortly but never resumes. This app is just awful and it deserves 0 stars. How can this be so poorly implemented, Google?

Fire the team who is developing this app!! Google is better than the this garbage version! I have a 6S Plus on 10.2.1.

This app is easy use and has a great variety of playlist that actually change through out the day with the time, from lists to get things done at work to after five which gives you some winding down of workout playlist

I like this app its fun and at lest when you turn off your phone it still plays!

Same as below reviewer; I do enjoy the music selections and categories in this app over Pandora, Spotify. However until they can fix these issues, its not worth the poor experience. the Ad freezes the music stream to the point that it wont load anymore, as well as Ads will sometimes play during a song.

Needs CURATION. Needs better UI for browse. Apple Music has more selections, options overall with each album such as lyrics. Up your game. App also needs faster playback. WHY DO I NEED TO ADD THE SONG TO MY LIBRARY AND THEN DOWNLOAD IT. WHY CANT I JUST DOWNLOAD IT AND IT AUTOMATICALLY ADDS TO THE LIBRARY. STUPID.

Songs take forever to play. I remember a time when songs used to play within 3 seconds. Now its take minutes! Fix playback asap

How mediocre this app is. Like others have said, often you have to skip songs and then go backwards in order to get them to play properly. Youd expect better from the tech giant who pays millions to even have their apps on the Apple App Store.

Great playlists, lovely interface, solid app.

The service is good but bugs with the adds really kill it for me. They play over music, sometimes stop the app in its tracks all together and just dont make it a good experience.

Ive been using music streaming services since the public US beta of Spotify. And the second google dropped theirs I switched on a whim, and Ive never been happier. Ive switched back and fourth a couple of times but I always come back to All Access. My only complaint would be, I want to see the same integration with 3rd parties as Spotify has. AND WHERES THE CAR PLAY APP???

I am using Google Play Music on my iPhone 4s. It runs iOS 8.4.1, so I meet the app requirements. One constant and annoying bug is when I lock the phone while music is playing. I can press play, then press the lock button to put the phone to sleep, and all of a sudden, the music STOPS PLAYING. And when I go to press play on the lock screen, NOTHING HAPPENS. This happens almost every single time I want to listen to music and its infuriating how I have to wait for some time before the app starts playing music again while the phone is locked. Im calling this a bug because its easily reproducible and annoys the hell out of me, so please, someone look into this. I dont want to keep asking. Thank you for reading.

Vast variety! Even small etnic groups or internet fenomens!

Songza was amazing and this app totally ruined the experience created by them. The navigation is clunky, its always freezing and always brings up errors. If songza was still around I would pay for the service. Google step up your game this app is gold. Just make it better

I wish I could embed my playlists on my website

I love the music curation of Google Play (they did absorb Songza one of the greatest music services ever) but this app has lots of bugs that are getting bothersome. Skipping to a new song often screws up the audio and will only resume after I hit play and pause several times. Seems to be an issue with streaming. Getting a song interrupted by a call effectively pauses the song instead of resuming the song after the call has ended. I use this app exclusively when I work out and drive so pretty major inconveniences. Ill give ya guys a bit more before I move my subscription back to Spotify.

Stops playing when you skip a track while connected to the car (wired or Bluetooth). Looks like its a known bug for at least a year now. Google needs to fix this immediately or Im unsubscribing.

While its a little laggy and slow, the selection, design and perk of YouTube Red will keep me on board.

If youre not an apple addicted person youll love Gplay. Better variety and easily cast to TV.
