Google Play Music App Reviews

Whether my phone is running on LTE or Wifi, the songs take minutes to load and play, if they they play at all. Even when the songs have begun, they sometimes skip because they are still loading. Also, the abnormally high amount of commercials (and sometimes the length of the commercials) makes listening with this app inconvenient. Even if you download and enjoy Google Play Music, youll probably delete it after the first two months once youve seen its flaws. Id recommend any other music streaming app over this one. Its just not worth it.

If there was an option to choose which page opens first that would be a plus. I would rather google music open on my song Library first instead of the radio....also the new icon made me shocked. Its so ugly. Off my homescreen and into a folder it goes.:..also why now you cant forward a song from lockscreen?

Thinking of getting this and unsubscribe to imusic.

After the latest update this app stinks. Cant get through one song without it pausing. Please fix it Google.

The best music app ever! Plus its shared with family, so cool!

Recently i buy an iPhone 6s but i dont like Apple Music so im gonna still use Google Play Music because its a lot better

The app is glitchy and doesnt even work!eats all of your data and doesnt even play offline!

Google - please dont force me to use your Listen Now page. It is so annoying to have to swipe and tap and wait just to get to my library every single time I launch your app. Otherwise, 5 stars.

Qualifier: I use iTunes and Google Play to manage and stream my own library. I very rarely stream radio or curated music from providers. Pros: Google play provides a great back up for my music library at no charge. Back up of library at 320kbs. simple and logical interface. Plays back my library nicely. Cons: Lacks the dynamic playlist options I expect. Lacks 5 star rating system critical to managing my library. Summary: Google play cannot replace iTunes for me until they provide 5-star system and more feature rich dynamic playlist capability, but the library back up for free is worth the effort to manage both iTunes and Google Play libraries.

This is definitely my favorite way to listen to music. It functions very well. I have no complaints!

Ads seem to be less frequently played than when the app was 1st released... Love the music choices..

This app was the best music app I had ever used until the last few weeks. Suddenly it never works properly. Several times a day I will get an error that says unable to stream although I have perfectly good signal or am on wifi. My biggest issue is that when you try to edit your playlists, it goes nuts. If you try to delete a song, it deletes a different one. If you try to rearrange the songs, it chooses a totally different order. This needs to be fixed ASAP.

Than Pandora. I used Pandora for years. Downloaded this. And deleted pandora. No need for any other music app!!!

Love the app and the family plan works great with the kids. Areas to improve... 1. Interface needs some love. Hard to see some of the menu cues on the screen and it could be a bit more intuitive 2. Need to be able to take stations offline like you can with artists and playlists and refresh them easily Still love the service and use it daily.

Lets you store 50,000 of your own songs for free! Enough said. It has a a clean look feel. It makes a great compliment to your music apps.

When scrolling through the menus, I notice scroll animation isnt a smooth 60fps, or anywhere near that. Scrolling is very choppy, and it definitely isnt the devices fault. I am running in on an iPad Pro, which should definitely be able to handle scrolling in a music app. Please optimize your animations.

Playing music is so much more intuitive. I just wish there was an option to stream the Podcasts on this app like you can in-browser.

This is a great app I recommend it it makes me happy when I have no service

The new app is okay, Songza had a way better search option. Not digging google play.
