Google Play Music App Reviews

This app is perfect for easily listening to music. Since synchronizing with iTunes does not work at all, this is a great alternative I have been using.

App broken in version 3.6.7317 from 4th of January. The App does not work, the “Listen now” tab does not load in any of the iOS devices. The application tries to open the “listen now” tab but I get a white screen and the spinning orange circle indicating that it is loading. But it keeps that way forever. When looking at the logs, one can see the following error: GPDBDatabaseConnection executePrimitiveStatement: GPDBDatabaseConnection execution error 1 message: SQL loging error or missing database

Ive put all my music in the cloud (30k songs) and this app doesnt seem to be able to handle it. Instant mixes constantly fail and the whole app requires rebooting to work at all again. Otherwise Id say its a winner

The design of the app and the overall functionalities are pretty neat. What worries me the most is the constant lag when scrolling down and up in a song list. This is not acceptable for a google app even on iOS. Please include a render engine that is capable of a 60 fps experience!

Love your app and liked the old icon. Why is the new one so ugly? Plsss restore the old one!! Ill give five stars for a better app icon.

Very great but without an equalizer the sound is not so great. Need a equalizer please!

Ads every other song. Loads up a video ad using your data on preloaded saved songs.

I would have rated this app higher, if it wasnt for the fact that because of it I can no longer use Songza... Which worked considerably better

This app is very much sub par. The adds are for the worst of Internet blather, the playlists are too short and on permanent cycle. My own person library is longer and has better diversity. Hell, old fashioned FM has more diversity.

I love this application because its easy to you, easy to organize your music, playlist etc......they have a great register of French music even from Quebec so Im really happy with this application. Thanks!!!!

Crashed on startup.. Reinstalled and working now... But then I have to redownload the music I had saved...

Crap app! I wish it was still songza! I downloaded GPM and it keeps skipping every 3 seconds. Now I got a different streaming app. Good luck Google.

Better ad to song ratio! To it doesnt feel forced down your throat. Still could use a bit of tweaks to make it work a little smother and look a little better but 3 stars more then the old version

I really, really miss Songza ... and dislike Google Music. Considering that Google are masters of UX and great design, somethings gone off the rails here. Its ugly. Its not intuitive. Theres way too much going on on each screen. I cant easily figure out how to navigate around the app. The whole thing looks and feels like a dogs breakfast. I shouldnt have to sit down and dedicate time and brainpower to figure out whats on the app, how to get to it, and how to use it. It should be clean, simple, predictive, and intuitive. Its not. Really disappointing. Im looking for alternates ...
