Love this app on my Pixel 2 XL. Looks horrible and is anything BUT smooth on iOS. Makes you wonder how such a massive software giant such as Google can develop such a crappy app even if it is for iOS. Scrolling is super jittery. Especially compared to Apple Music and Spotify. The UI I’ve never been a fan of even on my Pixel 2 XL. It needs some smoother rounded corners in the UI. Everything is too sharp and boxy. I haven’t had any of the “music just stopping” issues I’m seeing in the reviews but doesn’t change the fact this app needs some major polishing!

Every time I open the app all local downloads are deleted and I have to start from scratch. As I set an album to download the app skips tracks so an album is never fully downloaded. This is a broken app. In addition, music that Ive paid for and uploaded cannot be streamed over cellural, only wifi. Whats the point???

It was a great service till the current iPhone update now it constantly crashes or stops playing music

Sad that for a subscription service the app hasn’t been updated to support the iPhone X

Its crazy how buggy this app is along with no Apple watch support and still not updated for iPhone X.

This app works as described but is missing features to make it 5-stars. They need to update it so it works with iPhone X and fits the screen. They also need to add cross-fading like Spotify and Deezer offer. Do this and Google Music is hands down the best.

Used to work great, but now, downloaded songs will stop playing for no reason whatsoever.

So I pay the $10.00 every month for the past year and a half and was able to stream radio music without annoying ads. But now I can’t even enjoy that anymore since they do have annoying ads. I am unsubscribing!!!! ????

No podcast on app makes it not really worth it.

Great but needs iPhone X support

A great service with an awful app for iOS. Plays the wrong music, randomly stops, sometimes crashes altogether. Its a shame because the Google music service as a whole is amazing.

This is by far the worst music app that i have ever encountered. Cant reliably do whats its made for. Downloaded music wont play a lot of times and you cant even delete songs out of your playlist effectively because it wont delete the song that you selected to delete, it will delete a song 2 or 3 songs above it instead. Another glitch that ruins the app is that when you download an album, you will have it in your library and when you listen to said album and add a song from that album to your playlist it will go to the playlist as it should. However, when you are finished listening to the album and want it out of your library (to avoid useless clutter) when you remove it from your library, it will also remove the songs from that album out of your playlist. These are the current worst bugs for me among others that i wont mention. Rating: 0.1 star Comment: Just use Spotify if you want to keep your sanity.

Songza was an amazing app. It made suggestions on certain dates at certain times like on Friday night at 1:00 there was a bar satiation but then google saw them as a threat and bought them now it’s only a couple of stations

Update your app and show us that you still care about your product. Same buggy interface with no innovation is showing and it would be nice if you support apple’s newest product, the iPhone X.

Coming from a Google Pixel I was shocked that there is no equalizer available on iOS. This is a simple addition and it is laughable that is has not been added already. Also, the app is still not optimized for iPhone X. The rest of the app is still fine. After using the service for two years, I am HIGHLY considering switching services.

I see so many users that complain the app doesn’t do this or that. It’s buggy. It’s slow. It may be for many users but I have had awesome, reliable and speedy service. Never once has it randomly closed. I can find new songs the instant I hear then on the air. I can download a play from any of my devices, including my car. YMMV

This app is such a disappointment every time I use it. Downloaded songs (not streaming) will just strip playing. When I unlock my phone it stops. When I open the app it stops. Forget about texting because every time you go to messages it stops too. I don’t understand how downloaded songs on my device just stop playing when I open apps or unlock my phone. PLEASE FIX!!!!!!

I switched to Play because both Apple and Spotify are incapable of integrating existing mp3 files without either losing them (Spotify) or replacing them with loosely matched alternate versions of songs from the streaming service (Apple). Google lets you upload 50k exact versions. Works flawlessly. It would be nice if the album sort would let you sort by artist, then album. The artist sort requires an extra click to drill down. Could be better. Edit: although it works fine on my phone, it is garbage on my ipad. Inexcusably bad. I’m actually shocked Google would put this out knowing that it cannot even get through one song on the ipad.
