Google Play Music App Reviews

Day ruiner.

Spent the last hour trying to re-subcribe my iphone account from iphone. I was able to give them my card number after hopping through lots of support threads from the safari app, but its just saved, not even charged, they claim they have ways to "re-subcribe" (i.e. Go to settings, drop down to where we offer this, etc.) but its seriously a pile, there arent even the said buttons or tabs they say to go through. So i can no longer subscribe to google music unlimited simply because THERE ISNT EVEN AN OPTION TO DO SO. Keep your shot together and easily MANAGABLE FROM THE APP.

Love rolling the dice!

Perfect playlist every time!

Terrible since recent update

Worked well until recently. Now it only plays music I had in my library prior to the recent update. Totally bummed.

Some glitches, free library backup

Current glitch right now is editing created playlists. On iPhone and iPad, I am unable to delete songs from playlist. Hopefully this is fixed soon, but overall its free backup and stream of my over 900 library of iTunes songs. Apple charges $25 yearly for this same backup of songs, not to mention Google gives you streaming radio for free too.

Love it but it really needs landscape mode

Great selection, lots of options, and a decent interface. My only real gripe is the lack of a landscape mode for use in the car. Fix that, and Ill add a star.

Favorite music app

I absolutely adore it. Ive encountered so many new songs and genres thanks to this app, songs that will be in my heart forever. Its very comfortable and the quality is high. There is almost every song that comes to mind. The only downside would be the lack of songs musicals like The Heathers for example. The amount of 3G that costs me when Im not home (which is often) to load the songs is so tiny compared to the videos on YouTube. I strongly recommend downloading this app, I love it and the pay is truly worth it

Play next

Please bring back the play next option!!!!!!!!!

Built-in Equalizer????

I love this app and this service, but Play Music for iOS needs an equalizer so bad! Please, Please, Please.

Better than the preinstalled app

Play Music is essentially a Google Drive for your music; you upload audio files to the website server, and theyre available on all your devices. I imported my iTunes library effortlessly, and the best part was that my phone, after downloading and signing into the app, quickly synced up, as well. Ive found this music app to be much better than that abomination of a music app already installed on iOS devices, with a lack of that asinine drop-down menu for genres, artists, and others. In Play Music, it isnt a drop down menu, its a bar at the top of the screen you scroll through, or you can swipe to go to the next menu. Ill try my best to focus on one topic at a time for the rest of this review. Adding music. Theres no effort involved. Just go to the website on your computer, click “upload music” and drag your audio files into the screen. Ive found that nearly all audio files are supported, reducing the workload even more. As Ive said already, I managed to import my entire iTunes library seamlessly, and it only took about ten minutes to upload. The feature is just perfect. Editing music. On the site, you can just right click and select “edit info”. To make matters even better, Play Music suggests certain bits of metadata for some files, which was extremely accurate for me. And I didnt have to go scouring the Internet for the album art for “Path of Genocide”; Play Music had it right there for me. However, there are a few problems with my experience. First off, I uploaded I Am Machine but it didnt begin uploading for another half hour. Also, when I uploaded Andy Ritchies King Ding-A-Ling album, it was split into two albums, despite each file having the same metadata. And I believe it would be nice to have a feature that would let the app open to a certain page upon opening it; it would be MUCH quicker. And Id like to see a Notification Center widget that let me control the currently-playing song, trackbar and all. All in all, Ive decided to delete my iTunes library off my phone and permanently switch to Google Play Music. Play Music proved to be a beyond-good alternative to iTunes, with wireless syncing, easy-to-update library features, and much more. You cant get any better than this, I promise you that.

Glitchy beyond use recently

Love the app, but am forced to give a lower rating because it barely works recently.

Crashes immediately upon open

Cant even open the app

Nice

Havent run into any bugs, nice UI, ads are 30 seconds long and unskippable from what Ive seen but theyre infrequent enough to be fair in a free to use service. A good app

Great. One complaint

A really good music streaming service. Has everything I need. And the sound quality is excellent when set high. My only complaint is the Large Album Artwork when viewing an Album. Its zoomed-in way too much. Songza is gone. So, quit whining. Move on!

Not

Great app if you like paying twice for your music.

Album art

I would enjoy using this application much more if you all did not crop the album art. That is the worst thing about this app.

It works.

The music selection is adequate.

Great variety of music easy to find songs.
