I’ve tried to reach out to tech support on Twitter and through email, but get little to no help. There is som much wrong with this app, but my main issues are the playback interruptions and the service deleting albums I’ve saved to my library. The playback has always been a bit annoying - I understand caching for spotty streaming coverage, but this thing takes 5-10 seconds to start playing a song. Plus, it will crash in the middle of a track, so what’s the point of storing cache if it won’t play the entire music anyway. Also, I can force quit the app, but the music still plays for a good 5 seconds. Annoying when walking into a building or other area that doesn’t need to hear my music. Moreover, I have been adding the same albums to my library over and over because their app can’t seem to save them. With lack of support behind this app, I’ve switched to more stable services. If you want a service that has limited issues and awesome customer service, you can’t go wrong with Spotify or Apple Music. Plus they update all the time - not like this dinosaur.

The app consistently wont play music because "storage" is full but I have plenty of open memory and it still refuses to work

Music pause for no reason. And the app is dead, playlist r not update for long time. Don’t waste ur money. No app update for months. I think only 2 people from google work on this app. Apple should remove this app since they no longer offer update for beautiful IOS10 & 11

It says that I have no music in my library when I do actually have music

Come on. Restart redownload reinstall restart. WiFi and LTE. Just doesn’t work anymore.

You should give back to the true subscribers!

I dont know if its iOS 11 or the app, but its been super buggy lately. Random pauses is the biggest problem, but I also get occasional crackling (with 11.0.2), and strange delays when I thumbs down. Good music selection and interface though.

The playback issue people are describing is real and continues to get worse. Cant add a song without it stopping playback. Music always randomly stops playing or doesnt start - even when downloaded. Sometimes it will stop if your iPhone tries to auto connect to wifi that is weak, so that may not be entirely Googles fault. but now, after the latest update - I cant even edit playlists or manage songs in my library. Doesnt matter whether on 4g or wifi or anything. Tried refreshing the app and other recommendations - that worked for a day Have to go to desktop to add music now. Its like the app is still in beta mode - Just like Android.

About to jump ship to Apple Music.....this issue is not getting any better. After I skip like 5 songs, the music Widget on the lock screen goes away. Not sure if it is because my phone was in do not disturb drive mode or not but its annoying. I pay $10 a month so I expect it not to treat me like I am a free Pandora customer basically saying Ive ran out of skips. Plus, this basically makes the do not disturb drive mode useless cause I then have to say "Im Not Driving" to get into my phone to continue skipping songs.

This has been a problem seemingly ever since the newest iOS update or maybe it’s the app... something isn’t right. When I’m playing music in the app (especially streaming a radio) and I open the google play app, the music stops playing even though it shows that it’s not paused. So if I go like a song that’s playing it stops and I have to hit the pause button and then play again to get it to continue playing.

App shows music is playing when it isn’t. Casting is a lag nightmare.

I think I like it better than iTunes anyway...

The shining star of google music is the UI. There is a saying "great UI doesnt need any explaining." This app does that well in the sense everything is easy to understand and use. The problem that I have with it will probably be fixed soon. When I was using this app with iOS 11 is was annoyingly buggy. However that phone bit the dust after 4 faithful years and Ill be switching to android so its whatever.

As soon as my 4 month free trial ends Im moving back to Spotify. The Play Music app gives me nothing but problems on my iPhone 6. From the laggy interface to the buggy performance that causes my music to stop playing at random times for no reason at all, Im beyond frustrated with this app. If youre considering using Google Play Music on your iPhone then I suggest you think twice & go for a well made app like Spotify or Apple Music because Google Play Music is almost unusable due to the reasons Ive listed above

Love the app use it nearly everyday but with the iOS 11 update its caused some problems that havent been fixed. Also over my extended use the app doesnt have an equaliser so it limits the audio quality. Another feature I would like is to go to an artist and be able to download all of the artists top songs at once.

Good but not perfect. My biggest beef that hasnt been fixed yet is the size of the album art when its being played. Its too wide-zoomed in. It needs to fit to screen. Need to fix please. Plus, I always feel like this app is the slowest to make big changes such as updates in UI. Its mostly about bug fixes which are important. However this needs a serious make over I feel like.

I use to love using this app but now that hardly any of the actual stations play I’m going to go back to listening on Spotify and other streaming devices until it gets fixed .

I’m a paying user. Please fix it so it will just work already. It will just stop playing the music randomly, or when I enter or exit the app (not close the app, but when I open a different app up for example). Love the app otherwise... but it’s a pain when I’m trying to play music at a party and I end up playing music on a different app because of it stopping.
