Google Play Music App Reviews

I like the features and concept of Google play, but it stops the music every time I switch to another app or back onto Play. It is really slow, and it’s difficult to work with a large number of songs (like adding half of the songs from one list to another). It takes forever for it to register a thumbs up, and it also pauses when I do that. So it is really annoying, but ultimately functional.

Would be a great app to go along side youtube red but it’s very laggy

They should call it Google Pause. Unfortunately this music app has a lot of finicky bugs—never syncs properly with Microsoft Sync in the car; almost always crashes now when playing a song and the app is opened to either change the song or ‘like’ or ‘unlike’ a song. If you’re using Google Maps in tandem with the music app (like a road trip), the two hate each other and LTE will become bogged down trying to stream data to the two, resulting in either a phone crash or app crash, or both. Too many issues to actually enjoy listening to melodies.

No matter how many more songs I add to my library my recently added playlist will not update so every single song I have to manually add into my own playlist.

Ive tried everything to get my Google music app to play through my Chromecast. I can hear the connection tone, but no songs will play from my library. Ive removed and reinstalled at least 5 times now. This app is worthless

I can’t cast a playlist onto my google home mini. When it does work, it’ll play one song from the playlist then stop. It only lets me cast songs and albums, and sometimes that won’t even work. I’ll press the cast button on a song and it just won’t play. I’d immediately go to another song, and it works just fine. App also bugs out and the music skips when I’m going between apps.

Looks and plays flawlessly in my iPhone X. The icon could use a more professional, less cartoony touch. (Cause nothing’s perfect) The value of Google Music connected to my YouTube Red account is unprecedented in streaming music. Means no commercials and endless music on 3 apps; Google Play + Youtube Music + Youtube Red. Far better than Apple Music.

I’ve been using this for a while with a subscription and it was all good until it sometimes says “cant play song not enough storage” but there IS enough storage. And recently my playlist was deleted except for the most recent songs added.

I have no issues with google play music while on pc but this app on IOS is a joke

I want to like it, but it is so cluttered and unintuitive. Curated radio stations are terrible. I like what Spotify does with Browse section. There are no clear UI sections in the app, everything feels mushed together and painful to the eye.

The app is slow and buggy when pausing and playing songs. For instance when I remove a song from my playlists it removes the song above the one I want to remove. Hate this app on ios.

Worst service ever! Music doesnt drop on time as it does on apps like apple music and spotify. Trust me do not waste your time and money on this garbage app. Its always having problems and randomly crashes. Just terrible!

I’m not a big fan of the design of the app. I don’t want to see the album picture when I scroll through my downloaded music. It looks cluttered and busy. I rather just see the song title.

Crashes constantly and when you open apps it stops really laggy and slows my iPad down I JUST WANT TO LISTEN TO LIL UZI

chooses when it wants to work or not. after listening to music for hours it pauses and never plays again, even after restarting the app several times. please fix the general functionality of this app, it being a music player.

I start playing music then it stops and then plays a little faster and higher pitched it’s really annoying

It’s ok,but glitches while you play it.And when you try to clear the recents they come back every time you open the app.and I have to redo the albums when I switch accounts.

When I go to cast via my chrome cast v2, it turns on my TV. The YouTube app doesn’t turn on my TV! Queuing some playlists cause songs to be skipped and not played. Bluetooth sometimes doesn’t play in car unless I hit play on my iPhone. It gets the job done of playing music but the interface is not very intuitive and nor does it allow me to play playlists in reverse order (i.e., playing the songs added last first and gradually getting to first song added to playlist). I wish Google would focus a bit more on this app as their rate of development is at a snails pace.

Great app with 90% of the music I want (I have specific taste I listen to musical theatre so the absent 10% is understandable). DEVELOPERS PLEASE ADD EQ SETTINGS (AKA BASS BOOST, VOCAL BOOST, ACOUSTIC BOOST) TO THE IOS VERSION!!!!
