This app is my preferred method of streaming music but it is not elegant or refined at all. For example, album artwork does not fit the screen, it is zoomed for some reason when you’re playing a song from that album which just looks weird. There is a playlist of songs recently added to your library however no matter how many songs i’ve just added, the playlist never updates. Songs have randomly disappeared from my library. Some songs stop/start playing halfway through, others don’t play at all. I think some added features could be useful, such as the ability to look up lyrics. I have nothing to compare this app to because i’ve never used another streaming service but I’d say this could definitely be improved upon.

I have an Android and an Apple phone and the one thing I severely miss when switching between devices is I don’t see a “play next” option for songs when editing a playlist. The Android Google Play is a five star app. I hope this one can update to be par before I figure out how to use iTunes.

Scrolling a playlist or album with 20+ songs crashes my iPad mini 2. Terribly, terribly buggy app.

With the “wifi only” setting on this app uses data to stream the albums that are downloaded and are available offline. It does play the offline songs in airplane mode, but as soon as you turn on data it will stream your offline library. As a result, it uses up ~100 mb of data in 3 days(vs apple music’s 300mb over 6 months), and ~70% of battery in 4 hours. This app is pretty much not functional and I do not know why it is in appstore. I hope thar developers can address this issue, I do believe that not using data for offline tracks is not too much to ask

This app worked great for a couple years. I have the paid version... But awhile ago it started getting choppy, lagged & shuts down a lot... A couple updates later its STILL the same... On my Galaxy s8 (far superior to iPhone) the app works great. WHY did it go to crap on iPhone?!? It only gets updated on android now... WILL CHANGE TO 5 STARS if issues are fixed

I finally checked out podcasts on my desktop and wanted to continue listening on my drive home. But podcasts are missing from the app. Come on, Google!

If you like Pandora then get this app. But I doesnt give you the song you want just similar songs like it and need wifi always. And no download, Adds play in the middle of your song ?

Is it just me, or do some of these songs sound like they’re alternate recordings? Why aren’t the original versions being played on some of these songs?

If I open up an artist or album and select repeat, I want to iterate only through the selected album. We do not want to have to tinker around with queues. Please fix this. Thank you.

I use this app quite frequently in the car to access my music on the go. I also enjoy listening to podcasts as well, but since I switched from Android to IOS I noticed that the IOS version lacks the ability to access podcasts. Maybe it does and I just haven’t found it? I would like to see podcast availability with this app.

Virtually unusable on my original iPad Air with current iOS. Crashes repeatedly, whenever navigating to a particular piece.

When choosing downloads only there are two albums showing that are NOT downloaded, and they are also not songs I purchased or even listened to. So it is spam they expect me to look past making it a depressing experience.

I really do enjoy this app. The only thing that bothers me is the vast amount of bugs that are going on in it at this time for some reason. It constantly crashes periodically after a few songs play, plus it freezes a lot, and sometimes the sound even goes in and out. This app used to not have so many of these problems. Come on Google! You are much better than this. There are so many others complaining about the same problems on this update version. Please listen to your customers and give us an update that will fix these bugs! You have lots of competition such as Apple Music and Amazon Music. This would be an excellent app if it wasn’t for all of these bugs!

Really like the iPhone app but the big missing piece for me that Apple Music has going for it is an Apple Watch app to stream music from the watch.

I’ve used Google Play got quite a few years, and currently it’s the worse it’s ever been. It constantly stops playing or skips. It’s like having a scratched cd In the 90’s all over again. At first I thought it may have been the Bluetooth connection in my car but that’s not the case. I’m having the same problem In my other car which is a 2018. I hope this issue can be fixed soon.

What’s the point of downloading songs for offline listening if most of the time the music stops playing when I put the phone to sleep? Occasionally if I wait 30 seconds it might start playing again, but mostly it just crashes. It’s infuriating. I wish I could rate it 0 stars.

Playback hangs if you skip a song, price is good but I think Ill go back to Deezer.

The reason I enjoy this started years ago when this first came out. Before it was a streaming service. The ability to upload thousands of songs for free that came from CD’s or other sources over many years. That allowed me to stream all that music for free without installing and taking up all my storage. Then when the monthly service started I jumped on the service. The family plan was another. Although Apple had the better deal first for a family deal what it didn’t have or offer was a huge perk for using that service. Paying for Google Music allows me to get ad-free YouTube. Not just for me but for my entire family since I get the family plan. Perfect? No, but the pros outweigh the cons for us.
