The latest version broke casting from my iPhone 7 to my google Home / Home mini . Booooooo Casting still broken

I am using this instead of Spotify only because it is included with YouTube Red. The service/app are worse that Spotify in every conceivable way. You can’t even scroll smoothly. Somehow Google brought Android stuttery scrolling to iOS here. And why can’t I have my artists in a simple list? I don’t want massive circular pictures of every artist so scrolling and stuttering are even worse. Using this App is like being in a musical desert after Spotify. Part of me hopes they stop including this with YouTube Red so I can cancel both and get Spotify again. Apple Music made a complete mess of my personal collection, so I’ll never use that again. Amazon music’s app is even worse than this believe it or not. Update: Connection to ChromeCast Audio is also incredibly buggy. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t for days. If the app can’t reliably offer this feature it should remove it.

Because every song you give a thumbs up will no play audio in the future.

Please fix the sluggishness of this app especially on iPad Mini 2, I understand it’s a device from 2013 but come on it’s a music app, why is it so slow? Another suggestion was to add an equalizer feature like Spotify did and this would become everyone’s favorite app.

Was great up until the pausing and flat out refusing the play the music started happening. Had to restart my phone several times before it stopped giving me the "cant play music because your phone has no more space" message. Even my downloaded music wouldnt play.

Worst music app I have. How they expect anyone to subscribe to this service when the app functions this incredibly poorly is beyond me. Force closes, freezes. Google, you’ve got to do better.

Have to reinstall every time I try to connect to my very expensive Google Home Max. What a pain! Didn’t pay $400 for a speaker and $15/month for this horrible experience. I expect better.

Quick and simple, easy to use. It just needs a few bug fixes. I would love to see the iPhone’s 3D Touch be put to use for this app!

While the app overall is fantastic and you can stream your own music library without wasting storage space, the only problem I encounter is a doubling bug. Once I select artists, the library duplicates the songs. And if i delete the duplicate, it deletes the original too. It’s minor but still annoying.

Will not connect with chrome cast.

EVERY TIME I try to delete a song off of my playlist, it deletes THE ONE ABOVE IT. And does it get rid of the one I actually wanted??? No of course not. The terrible song stays right where it is. And to make matters worse, it’s a wonder I could even figure out how to delete songs off of a playlist because there’s no guide, tutorial, or tips to help me AT ALL. You have to figure everything out yourself. Oh and is there a way to undo deleting those songs I accidentally deleted??? No. Not at all. No redo button, (unless you’re on a galaxy s5, which I was briefly while I was waiting on a new phone) no “recently deleted” folder, NOTHING. You just have to hope that you remember what song the stupid app accidentally deleted.

Searched for a song all I got were radio stations?!? Or videos?!? Just give me the frickin music! What the heck?!?

Keeps chiming for connecting but never plays

I was trying to listen to music while reading it’s lyrics in the lyric app but when I opened the app the music stoped! It’s never happened before, but today it’s pissing me off

Integration with with other Google devices such as home is incredibly faulty. The connection constantly drops and sometimes the song just switches up randomly. Its not just the connection thats buggy; its the entire app itself. Theres just so many buttons and banners that just get lost in the UI because of how poorly this app was developed. Its surprisingly sad that a multi billion dollar company cant iron out basic UI bugs for a better user experience. Additionally some of the basic functionality is difficult to understand, such as the "add to queue" button. The app doesnt really define what is in the queue very well so the song often gets lost in a huge queue from the shuffle (if you happen to play the song from a playlist) . Until things are fixed this is probably the worst streaming service from its competition (e.g Spotify, Apple Music) in terms of functionality. However, the wide selection of music that is not all seen in other apps is a nice, noticable difference.

I love google play music and the app but I’m wondering why there’s noticeable lag when scrolling on my 5 month old 6s plus when this app has been out for a while.

I love how google play comes with a great assortment of music and YouTube Red. It’s very personal to the listener and many features that make music more enjoyable. However, there are some bugs that pop up from time to time. I wish google would just check and update for them more often. Besides that, awesome app.

Nice app, like that u get YouTube red too. But its really buggy on the iPhone. Its unreliable.
