Great app, easily my only music app that I use. The only thing I wish you guys would add is a the thumbs up and thumbs down option in the lock screen. If that was added, this would be a 5 star app all day every day!

Perhaps it’s just a problem with my account? However I went through a lot of work adding songs to play lists and my online library and they do not appear to transfer between devices. It’s on THEIR servers, it’s a simple .db to maintain and their other services such as YouTube and YouTube Music maintain that data. Furthermore my account seems to allow more than one device to play at a time, which it’s not supposed to. Therefore due to transferring devices and the issues I’ve experienced I can no longer give this app the four stars that I would have a week ago (it has legitimate caching problems as well when streaming) , and must give it a single star because of lack of portability and not working as advertised.

Wonderful app, iOS needs a night mode so my eyes arent in pain when Im trying to browse music before I sleep

I enjoy my google play, but I am upset that I spent a lot of money on a gps watch for running, that communicates with my phone, just to find out that my music app does not work on it. I am seriously thinking of switching to a music app that supports both my phone and watch. Why is there no google play app?

Didn’t what google music never even downed the app. But they still charged me 9.99. Now I have to cancel my credit card......piss me off

Since Songza was bought by Google, Ive been waiting got google play to be as good as what Songza was. Unfortunately, the glitches have been around for years. Songs dont play automatically, ads freeze and playlists are no where near as good. Did you change the algorithm for playlists? Go back to what Songza had. You bought them for a reason.

It crashes whenever i go in

Just signed up for a family sharing plan. I want to be able to share playlists from one account to another, but this seems to be impossible. Navigating through the app is not super-intuitive but it has tons of features. Would like to see google reclaim some of the playlist concepts from Songza (a music app they bought out) that included curated playlists from different people. Overall, would like the app a lot more if the playlist features were a little more like Spotify.

Great service, but this app desperately needs a redesign. the UX is complicated and album art often has difficulty loading. We don’t need a recents tab, and horizontal scrolling through Artists and Albums is awkward under the Library tab. The Browse tab also has so much potential, but when you click into it all you see are three options. Why not just put the content in that tab? I’d replace the Recents tab with a curated Playlist tab or something.

So I use Apple Music but a lot of my downloaded music that I had as files ended up getting jumbled as far as artwork and metadata. I decided to move all my existing music to google plus music and loooove that I can upload up to 50k songs (I had no where near that much). Now I can stream all songs, even the obscure ones that’s aren’t available on iTunes. I love what google did with this and love the freedom it offers. Since I may be in my last months with iPhone (I find them waaay to exclusive and restricting and am considering Android) I am glad this is available. One fix I WOULD recommend is the artwork being so stretched out in the display of this app. It should be a true ratio of the album artwork . Other than that, I have no idea what all the gripes are on these reviews. Five stars

I love this app the music quality is awesome. This is one of my favorite music players because you can play your games or turn of your device and the music is still on and it’s free

App works on mobile but crashes whenever casted to a Chromecast. Worked for a few months but now every time I try to connect it crashes immediately after the intro screen on Chromecast. I’ve tried updating, resetting my phone, resetting the Chromecast, resetting the app and nothing works. Honestly, it got worse after I tried closing and refreshing the app. Sad that Google can’t produce an app the works seamlessly with its other products, guess i’m sticking with Spotify.

The album art extending to cover the entire screen is a bad UI choice if you like looking at album art, and the app continues to play for up to 10 seconds after being closed. Both aren’t deal-breakers, but definitely are annoying and I expect better from Google

Love this service and it is my primary source of music. However.... come on Google!! Make a watch version!!

App momentarily freezes when I add to library or thumbs up a song. On top of that, none of my thumbs up or add to library songs were actually added

New update breaks all controls for multiple device in a sound group. Old version was awesome. This one not so much.
