Though this is a great service, there are annoying bugs that have not yet been taken care of. The music will turn off if I leave the app and other bugs. Please fix!!

This app is so buggy and terrible. Sometimes, you’d be listening to music, and when you press the home button to go on home screen, the music stops playing. If you’re trying to skip ahead or backward in the song, the entire song restarts instead. I thought it was just because I hadn’t downloaded the song. But downloaded songs are still buggy. The app is incredibly slow and unstable.

This most recent update is the only time I’ve had difficulties with the app on an iOS advice and it deleted ALL of my saved songs.

I really like this music app. I like that it’s bundled with YouTube red, but the fact that it doesn’t have an Apple Watch app keeps it at 3 stars for me.

Like many of the reviewers here, the service is absolutely great! This app though is terrible at delivering an equally great experience. The biggest issue I’m dealing with currently is trying to download my custom playlists for offline listening. Guys, you’re freakin’ Google! How does an experience like this ever get published to the masses? Please update this app to fix the issues and restore it back to the level that customers have come to expect and receive from Google.

Whats w/ this radio thing? Honestly its been poorly done..

It’s glitchy, it skips and randomly stop playing the music, even when it’s downloaded. When the screen updates most of the time it will stop playing the music. Please find a way to fix this. I mean you’re google for gods sake.

Scenario: get in the car, hook up the phone to the radio via Bluetooth, open up the app, start the radio. Yay! It works! Ok, switch to gps app, music stops. Going back to the app, it shows that it is playing, clicking to pause it, hit play again. Works. Switch to gps again, music stops again. At this point either hit play through the car stereo or through the notifications screen. This bug has been reoccurring despite several updates. Or call the app Google NoPlay Music, at least it would be fair.

App is buggy. Music stops playing for no reason. Also, has not yet been updated for iPhone X. The google main app and google photos have been updated so why not this app?

Best music app out there for a small price! Love it just need a new futuristic UI /SENSE UPDATED WONT CAST TO CHROMCAST ! & also The new added songs music playlist won’t add the new songs you add to it . Very frustrating because I have over 1,200 songs .

Great music app just needs update for iPhone X screen size other then that great way to have music both on Apple and Android devices.

The iPhones force touch has been around for a really long time but this app has no support for it. It would be much better to force press a song to bring up the menu rather than peck at the triple dot icon.

The app barely functions, when it isn’t crashing in startup it will immediately pause the song that’s playing once the app opens. Once you get your music playing again you’ll notice that all the playlists will play shuffled with no way to turn it off. Been using the app since beta and I’ve never seen it in a worse state...

It now finally seems that the problem I was having with half of my albums showing up as duplicates has at long last been fixed! Literal years later I am happy to return to using this app 100%

Play Music is wonderful in and of itself; however, the app has a few small but frustrating issues that make enjoying the service somewhat difficult. Playback often stops for no discernible reason during both downloaded and streaming tracks, something that occurs in all usage scenarios such as when using the app, or when the phone is locked, or when playing in the background. In fact, playback has paused twice during the writing of this review. Another issue is that while using bluetooth headphones, playback oftentimes will not resume after being interrupted by a phone call, something Spotify handles without a hitch. The other less prominent issue I’ve experienced is skipping using bluetooth headphones. I’m using Airpods, which I’ve had for some time now, and this issue has never occurred with Spotify or Apple Music. I’ve found myself enjoying Google’s music service more than any other lately, but the performance issues will probably have me going ditching it once my trial expires.

Come on Google almost all of Microsoft office has been updated for this phone. It’s a little odd that you haven’t caught up with your play services.
